Amidst Rhythm 022

Augusts mix brings a slightly downtempo blend of textures with some minimal kick drums spread throughout. Collusion hits pretty hard out but leaves space for Guido Schneider's remix of Loverboy. Some of the following tracks have a bit of vocal presence, these were ones that have been playing on my ipod recently. All together its a pretty interesting mix I think.

Fairly techy big room beats this time around. First of my personal highlights is the sexy track "Better Run" - Wippenberg Remix; Well known Nadia Ali puts a big main room spin on a big sounding tech house track. Next up the the deep vocals of Roland Clark on "This is Hollywood" speak to the soul with a tension building break down. The best thing to do is drop a rolling bass line after it... so I think Spektre's take on Lionrock does a nice job but still gives you some spoken techno poetry. Le Poulain brings in a set of tracks that are in heavy rotation, including Hawtin's Statikphunk (no pretending its not a techno mix anymore : ) ). After the ear pleasing string section of Iam One, things slow down a bit... dare I say take on an almost minimal feel ? ... Hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it - cheers ! - DownPat
